Sedona, Arizona is my home, but for the first 30 years of my life I lived in eleven different US states, Newfoundland, Philippines, Japan and India.  Yet Maine's natural beauty and its colorful personalities have always held a special place in my heart. When I set out to write my first mystery novel, I chose Maine as the setting because its characters are colorful and charismatic. I've been vacationing there since I was a child, and I worked three marvelous summers at Bear Spring Camps in the Belgrade Lakes Region.

From the beginning, I was determined to make the stories believable while giving them a backbone of wit and understated humor, something the Coen Brothers might appreciate.
