Placing
the Songs in a Specific Order on Your Personalized CD
*
Placing the songs in a specific order on your personalized CD is important.
It allows you to choose:
1. The songs you want playing as your guests arrive and are being seated.
2. The specific song you want for the Processional for the couple's Attendants.
3. The specific song you want for the Bride's Processional.
4. The song (or songs) you want playing at the Recessional, as the guests
are leaving the wedding site.
The Wedding Planner and/or Wedding Officiant will want to discuss this
with the couple to help make these choices. During the wedding rehearsal
the Processionals (both for attendants and for the bride) can be timed
so that you will know exactly at what point in the Processional Song the
actual processional will begin. The Attendants and the Bride will
then have their cues for when to begin and how to pace their stride.
By placing the songs in a specific order on the CD, the person who controls
the playing of the music during the service simply starts the CD at the
appropriate time, and pauses the music at the end of the Bride's Processional.
Then the music is restarted for the Recessional. If other music will
be incorporated in the service, then a change of CDs will be required.
When you Pre-Order your CDs, you will be asked to place the songs in a
specific order on your personalized CD. If you decide that any particular
song is not suitable for the service, it can either be eliminated from
the CD, or it can be placed at the end of the CD, but not actually played
during the service.
Pre-Ordering
your CDs
*
We ask that you Pre-Order your personalized CDs as early as possible, so
that we can have them in time for your needs. Payment is not required
at the time that you Pre-Order your CDs. Be sure to show the couple
all the ordering options, including:
1. Whether the couple will want a Custom Design
with their picture on the CD and Cover. (See note below for Custom
Designs)
2. The Case Format: Trimline Cases
or Jewel Cases
3. The Color Style
(White, Pink, Orange, Red, or Lavender)
4. The Quantity
of CDs.
5. Placing the songs in a Specific Order
on the CD.
We recommend that the Wedding Planner or the Wedding Officiant place the
Pre-Order, but this can also be done by the couple. Once you have
Pre-Ordered your CDs, we will contact you with payment and shipping options,
and discuss your photograph options for custom designs. When you
are ready to Pre-Order your CDs, please use the attached form: (click on
the link just below)

Custom
Designs
Most couples will want to have a "Custom Design", which will include a
picture of the couple on the CD as well as the front cover of the case.
Special instructions are important for the photograph to achieve the best
possible cover design. The picture that was used for the custom design
# 1 is shown here:
This image allowed us to have a clear image of the bride and groom, and
a dark space to the left and right where the typesetting could be done
in a white colored font on both the CD and the Front Cover. Take
note that if the background is lighter and varies in color, it may be difficult
to typeset an attractive Cover, and the words will be difficult to read.
A lighter background will work, provided it is not very busy with shapes
and colors. Enough space must be available on both sides of the couple
(especially on the left side), where the typesetting is done for the CD
and Front Cover. Close-ups of the couple will not allow enough space
to provide the typesetting.
The couple may choose any of the 5 color options (White, Pink, Orange,
Red or Lavender) for their Custom Design. For best results, the background
should be somewhat monotone (either dark or light), so that the typesetting
will be clearly legible. A digital photograph works best that is
at least 1.5 megabytes, and preferably larger.
When the couple have a suitable digital photograph for their custom design,
please email this to us at: carl@lightformfilms.com

A short description
of each piece is provided below each song.
Little
One *4:53
Little
One is a sweet heart-felt song,
using guitars, violins, piano and light percussion. The guitars and
piano weave delicate melody lines that blend together as one voice.
The simple beauty of this song encourages the listener to relax and enjoy
the simple pleasure of being alive.
For
the Wedding: This is an excellent song
to have playing as the guests are arriving for the wedding ceremony.
It might also be used in Attendants' Processional or the Bride's Processional.
Flying*8:23
Flying
is a slow paced song, using solo violin and solo cello, with a background
of strings, vocals and delicate bells. It sets a very sweet mood,
suggesting both joy and longing.
For
the Wedding: This song could be played
while the guests are arriving, or it could be played for the Processional.
It is a long song, which is suitable if it is a big wedding and many guests
are being seated. It also will allow for a long processional.
If it is played at the processional and it doesn't require this much time,
the attendants and/or the bride would begin their entrance at a particular
point in the song.
Floating*4:53
Floating
is a spirited, upbeat song, using vibraphones, violin, cello and bass strings.
It is light-hearted, and lilting. It has a buoyant and rhythmic flow.
For
the Wedding: This song might work well
as the guest are arriving, or possibly during the Recessional.
Drifting*7:29
Drifting
is a jazz song, using piano, horns, bass, synthesizer and drums.
It is an easy flowing tune, where the piano and the horns talk back and
forth to each other, in a balanced and evolving way.
For
the Wedding: This song has a somewhat
different flavor from the rest of the songs on the CD. Some couples
might want this during the Seating, the Recessional, or possibly not include
this at all at the service, depending on their taste.
Kindness*5:58
Kindness
is a lovely song played on a lyrical grand piano with vocal and string
accompaniment. It has a sweet and solemn melody line played on the
piano, which runs through the entire song. It's name, Kindness,
is an indication of its emotional effect. It creates and sustains
a solemn and ceremonial mood.
For
the Wedding: This song is the one most
requested for the Bride's Processional ("Wedding March"). It is 6
minutes long, so it could easily provide enough time for the full Processional.
If it is used as a Processional piece, the Attendants and/or the Bride
will want to find the exact point in the song to begin their entrance so
that they arrive at there place(s) the music is ending.
Whales*2:57
Whales
uses a motion synthesizer, vocals, strings, horns and vibraphones to capture
a mood that is carefree and easy.
For
the Wedding: This song would be excellent
for a shorter Processional, either for the Attendants or the Bride.
Alternately, it might be played during the Recessional. The horns
in the middle and at the end give it a particularly festive quality.
Strolling*3:19
Strolling
is a light hearted, effervescent song using electric guitar with congas
and cymbals. It is easy to imagine someone taking a breezy walk through
the city or out in the country.
For
the Wedding: This song might work well
for the Recessional, as the guests are leaving. It is buoyant and
carefree, leaving the guests in an upbeat and happy mood.
